The legendary Zula Pearson always liked to do a big musical during the annual Indian Summer Arts and Crafts fair. The 13th annual fair, held in October 1981,
was no exception. Ms. Pearson directed "Paint Your Wagon", a rollicking musical set during the days of the California Gold Rush. The musical's plot involved a
gold mining father and daughter striking it rich, and establishing a Boom Town that is overly populated with too many men, and not enough women.
