Two elderly sisters, Abby and Martha, have a peculiar way of showing kindness by poisoning lonely men to relieve their suffering. Their nephew, Mortimer Brewster,
discovers their actions when he returns home to announce his engagement, leading to a series of comedic and chaotic events as he tries to manage his eccentric family and
prevent further murders.
